Every song
has a place.

How it works

The closer you get,
the more you hear.

  1. 1Where you stand

    Plant a song

Pick a track from Apple Music’s catalogue, add a note if you like, and drop it where you are. It stays on that spot for 5 days on a free account, or 30 days with Meadow+, which everyone in the beta has.

  2. 2Within 500 m

    Follow the question marks

Seeds near you show up as mysteries. Rustling grass hints at more further out, and the compass points to the nearest one.

  3. 3Within 50 m

    Hear it, then keep it

Step inside the ring and the song reveals itself for good. Collect it and it stays in your garden, even after it leaves the map.

A seed is a song someone plants at their real location, with an optional personal note. Within 500 metres it shows on your map as a mystery. Walk within 50 metres and the song reveals itself for good: you can hear a 30-second preview and collect it.

No. Meadow plays 30-second previews from Apple’s free catalogue, which needs no subscription or account. To hear the whole song, open it in Apple Music from the seed.

Yes. There is no collecting limit and no garden cap, and the beta costs nothing. During the beta every seed stays on the map for 30 days. After paid launch, seeds from free accounts last 5 days and Meadow+ seeds last 30. Anyone who collects a seed keeps it.

No. You have to be physically nearby to discover a seed. Meadow is made for finding music by going to the places where people left it.

It disappears from the map (after 5 days on a free account, or 30 days with Meadow+, which every beta member has), but anyone who collected it keeps it in their garden.

Right now, through the public beta on TestFlight. Install Apple's free TestFlight app on an iPhone with iOS 26.2 or later, then open the Meadow invite link from this site. There is no App Store listing yet, and Android is not currently planned.
